(Calgary, AB) – January 12, 2016 – PERM Inc. has discovered a grant available from the Alberta government, called the Canada-Alberta Job Grant, that can help subsidize up to 66% of a training program cost (up to $10,000 per year) for Alberta based employees that wish to take additional training. There is a maximum of $300,000 in funding for each company to use to subsidize their employees training. This grant can be applied to help reduce the costs of training programs that we offer at PERM! Whether you are a Geologist, an Engineer, Petrophysicist or something else, this program may be worthwhile looking into if you are thinking of taking courses.
PERM Inc. Courses Include:
- ENHANCED OIL RECOVERY: Process and Mechanisms in Conventional and Heavy Oil Systems
- UNDERSTANDING OIL RESERVOIRS: NMR as a Tool for Reservoir Characterization
- UNDERSTANDING OIL RESERVOIRS: Reservoir Characterization by Combining Petrophysics and Core Analysis
Each of the courses above is currently priced at $1,700 per student. With the grants available from the Alberta government, the price of the training would only cost $567, instead of $1,700! Due to training budget cuts at many companies, this type of program can be utilized to ensure you have access to advanced training to help develop your knowledge, skills and career.
There are some rules for the grant – the training, be it one course or a combination of courses, must add up to 24 hours of instruction minimum, start within 6 months of approval and finish within 52 weeks. Our courses at PERM are 2-day courses, meaning you could take all 3 courses for the price of 1!
